MR. DAVID M. PERCICH

Director

The Military Personnel Analysis team provides insight and information for developing, maintaining, and supporting military personnel policy research and analysis. Additionally, the team is responsible for military strength reporting, tracking and accountability and contributing to The Technical Cooperation Panel, an international forum for human relations policy research. The Military Personnel Analysis Office is aligned under the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Personnel Policy. 

Career

Mr. Percich was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force Reserve in May 1982 and accessed as active duty Air Force in October 1982, proudly serving 24 years in the Air Force and retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. His assignments include the National Security Agency, the Air Force Institute of Technology, and the Air Force Military Personnel Center. In June 1992 Mr. Percich affiliated with the Air Force Reserve as Active Guard and Reserve, assigned to the Directorate of Personnel, Office of Air Force Reserve, Washington, D.C., retiring in November 2006. 

Mr. Percich entered federal service in September 2006 as a Management and Program Analyst for the Personnel, Programs and Training Division, Directorate of Personnel, Office of Air Force Reserve, Washington D.C., where he developed systems requirements, directed systems analysis for the Air Force personnel system, and led personnel analysis efforts for the Air Force Reserve. In November 2007, he joined the Office of the Secretary of Defense as the Director of Reserve Systems and Integration in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs (Manpower & Personnel), Pentagon, Washington, D.C. He directed the systems analysis and integration of information requirements for Reserve Component personnel policies, programs, and procedures. In December 2015, he joined the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Military Personnel Policy in the Military Personnel Analysis Office. 

Education

Mr. Percich has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mathematics from Kent State University, and a Master’s of Science in Operations Research from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He is a graduate of the Squadron’s Officers School, Air Command and Staff College, and Air War College.
