Office of Force Resiliency
The Office of Force Resiliency (OFR) is led by the Executive Director for Force Resiliency (EDFR), an Assistant Secretary of Defense post and direct report to the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. OFR is charged as the Department of Defense’s primary organization responsible for promoting readiness through a comprehensive approach to fostering health climates, promoting well-being, implementing Total Force Fitness, integrating primary prevention strategies, and fielding professional response capabilities, culminating in a high performing and ready Total Force.

Mission
The mission of the Office of Force Resiliency is to cultivate a resilient and ready Total Force through a comprehensive approach to building healthy cultures and climates, implementing Total Force Fitness, and delivering integrated prevention and fielding professional response capabilities.

Effective Crisis Response and Care: Anticipating and proactively addressing crises by developing professional response workforces, policies, programs, and outreach that prioritize the welfare of personnel and families and ensure rapid and effective response and tertiary care.
Innovative Training and Education: Providing resilience workforces cutting-edge tools, materials and data that equip personnel with the skills and resources necessary to thrive in the face of adversity and dynamic mission requirements.
Leadership Excellence: Supporting a cadre of leaders across the Department who excel in creating positive command climates, inspiring trust, and fostering an ethos of well-being, resilience, and readiness.
