DHRA delivers world-class services through disciplined business acumen, tightly optimized processes, and secure personnel data and systems. The Field Activity supports policy development by performing cutting-edge research and expert analysis, supports readiness and departmental reengineering efforts, manages the largest automated personnel data repositories in the world, prepares tomorrow's leaders through robust developmental programs, supports recruiting and retaining the best and brightest, and delivers both benefits and critical services to warfighters and their families.

How We Support

The Headquarters, comprised of civilian and servicemember personnel, directly supports the DHRA's overarching mission by formulating, executing, and overseeing DoW-mandated human resource programs, budgets, policies, and initiatives; and by providing resources and guidance to all DHRA Components and programs.

Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPRO)

The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPRO) is responsible for oversight of the Department's sexual assault policy. SAPRO works hand-in-hand with the Services and the civilian community to develop and implement innovative prevention and response programs.

Office of Command Climate and Well – Being Integration (OCCWI)

The Office of Command Climate and Well-Being Integration (OCCWI) works to prevent harmful behaviors like suicide, sexual assault, harassment, domestic abuse, and child abuse across the Department of Defense. OCCWI empowers leaders to create healthy command climates by providing them with the people, data, and best practices they need to minimize risks and keep the focus on the mission.
