The DoD/VA Collaboration Office (DVCO) works to enhance cooperation and to advance collaborative efforts with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) through a number of joint VA-DoD executive committees and specialized working groups.

• Provides strategic communications, planning and operational oversight in support of DoD-VA interagency established goals.
• Ensures the implementation of the DoD-VA Joint Strategic Plan.
• Serves as the DoD's Executive Secretariat for the Joint Executive Committee (JEC), and subordinate committees including the Benefits Executive Committee (BEC), Health Executive Committee (HEC), Transition Assistance Program Executive Council (TAP-EC) and the Information Technology Executive Committee (ITEC).
• Coordinates the VA-DoD Annual Joint Reports to Congress.
• Collaborates with VA and the military Services on issues relating to the transfer of Service Treatment Records (STRs) in support of VA disability claims processing.
