Amy C. Rodick
Director, Office of Military Family Readiness Policy
Amy Rodick assumed the duties of director of the Office of Military Family Readiness Policy within the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy in November 2023. As the director, Ms. Rodick supports the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense in leading a broad portfolio that includes policy, advocacy and oversight of all community support to service members and their families, including quality of life issues; key legislative and policy issues affecting military families; military spouse career advancement; military family life learning; and the Office of Special Needs. Ms. Rodick is an Army veteran and a current military spouse well-versed in the many benefits and challenges of military life.
Prior to this assignment, Ms. Rodick served as a senior program analyst with the Headquarters, Department of the Army G-9 (Installations) where she supported the Army’s Quality of Life Campaign Plan, the Association of the United States Army Family Forums and Army Senior Leader Town Halls, and other prioritized programs as a team member on the Senior Leader Engagement Operations Team.
Ms. Amy Rodick has 19 years of operations and program management experience as a civil servant and active-duty military officer. Ms. Rodick graduated from Loyola University- Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in communication and was the ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate graduating Cum Laude. As a lifelong learner, she has a Master of Education specializing in school counseling and career development. Additionally, Ms. Rodick possesses graduate certificates in business administration with a focus on human resource management, strategic communication and military resilience. More recently, she graduated from Georgetown’s McCourt School for Public Policy with an Executive Master of Public Policy and Leadership and continues to serve as a program ambassador for the university.
